DOGGY DOG

Stays

We know the dog.
Now we can get to work.

The DOGGY DOG Stays are the next step after

DOGGY DOG Start.

By this point, we've spent 6 days getting to know your dog.

We know their personality.
We know what motivates them.
We know what challenges them.
We know how they learn.

So we're not starting from scratch.

We already have a plan.

DOGGY DOG Stay gives us more time to build on what we've learned, work towards specific goals and help your dog develop useful skills through consistent training and repetition.

WHO IS IT FOR?

DOGGY DOG Stays are for dogs who have completed DOGGY DOG Start and would benefit from more focused training.

Your trainer may recommend a Stay if your dog needs:

  • More time to develop specific skills.

  • More repetition and consistency.

  • Help working through a particular challenge.

  • More practice around distractions.

  • Time to build confidence.

Further development of the skills started during their DoggyDog Start.

The Stay isn't automatically the next step for every dog.

Your trainer will recommend it if they think it's the right fit.

WHY THE DOGGY DOG START COMES FIRST

The Start gives us something important:

Knowledge.

We've had the time to properly understand your dog before deciding what they need next.

We know what works.

We know what doesn't.

We know what motivates them.

And we know where we think they can go.

So when your dog comes back for a Stay, we're not spending the first few days figuring all of that out again.

We can get straight to work.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A STAY?

Your dog stays with one of our certified trainers and continues the training we've already started.

We:

1

Build

On the skills your dog has already learned.

2

Practise

Because repetition matters.

3

Challenge

Introducing new situations as your dog is ready.

If something isn't working, we change the approach.

Adjust

4

Working towards the goals we've agreed on.

No starting over. Just moving forward.

Progress

5

WHAT DO WE WORK ON?

Every Stay is different because every dog is different.

Your training plan will be based on what we learned during DOGGY DOG Start and what you want to achieve.

This might include:

We're not interested in collecting commands just for the sake of it.

We're interested in useful behaviour.

WHAT DOES YOUR DOG GET?

More time with a trainer who already knows them.

More opportunities to practise.

More repetition.

More real-world challenges.

And a training programme designed around their individual needs.

Because once you know the dog, you can make much better decisions about how to train them.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

Before the Stay, we'll talk through your goals and the areas you'd like to see continued.

Your trainer will use what they learned during DOGGY DOG Start to build the training plan.
And when your dog comes home, we'll make sure you understand what we've worked on and how you can continue it.

The goal is progress that makes sense in your life - not just the progress at the trainer's house.

WHAT DO YOU GET AT THE END?

At the end of the Stay, we'll bring everything together.

You'll also receive a

We'll talk you through what we've learned and answer your questions.

Because information is only useful if you know what to do with it.
